It’s a been quiet around here the last couple of months and that is because I’ve been moving house! That is exactly why I have been a bit off track goal wise, so starting June I’ve decided to be more focused. As a reminder, at the beginning of the year I wrote a blog post all about my goals in my quest of becoming a minimalist.
Nothing exciting to report here, actually a bit of a setback because due to me moving house (and all the expenses that have come with that) I might not even reach my overall travel goal for 2017. I do have two fun things in the works. This month (June) I’m off to Milan for a whirlwind trip and in November I’m visiting Lisbon again. All business related but I’m going to make the most of it. 5/10
MAKE LASTING MEMORIES
The past few months have been spent mostly around the house, but there were a few highlights. In May I went to a food truck festival called TREK and me and my friends participated in an escape room experience. 3/10
Saving money hasn’t been a priority at all, I’ve actually been spending quite a lot. I did have some savings that I could use towards refurnishing. I did decide to not do everything at once, because halfway through decorating I noticed that everything looked very generic and I wanted to add a bit of personality. That’s why I have been looking at secondhand stores for furniture and little bits and bobs. I didn’t do much shopping for clothes and only went to vintage clothing store, so that’s quite good. 3/10
These last few months have been quite turbulent work wise, so I guess I learned a lot from that. The idea of this goal was to learn stuff that wasn’t work related, so I’ll say 0/10.
READ A BOOK A MONTH
I’ve started reading Getting Things Done, but so far I’m only at chapter one. A big fail. 1/10
FIND OTHER SOURCES OF INCOME
A lot of ideas, but zero progress. What can I say, I just haven’t been focused. 1/10
Again, very little progress here. Let’s do better in June. 0/10
