The last few months have been extremely busy. My head has been all over the place and my capsule wardrobe is getting zero attention or love. To get back in the swing of things, I thought I’ll write a monthly update for both June and July.
In June I was lucky enough to visit Milan for work. I enjoyed the atmosphere and hope to go back there again when I can. In July I booked a trip to Bali, which I’m really excited about! It will be my first real solo travel experience and I can’t wait. It will be challenging and that is exactly why I’m doing it 😉 10/10
MAKE LASTING MEMORIES
These past months have been quite hectic with all kinds of spontaneous moments. Next to visiting Milan, I went to see the movie All Eyez On Me, which was a treat for a big Tupac fan like me. In July there is a big event call the Vierdaagse in my hometown Nijmegen and – as always – I enjoyed every minute of it. The reason for this party are four days of marches, although I choose to party instead of walking. I also visited two other small festivals: Deventer op Stelten and De Luie Hond in Arnhem and celebrated my birthday. 8/10
As you can imagine, visiting festivals and going out for dinner regularly isn’t cheap, but I don’t mind spending money if I can make lasting memories, which is exactly what I did. 2/10
Nothing new here I’m afraid. so 0/10.
READ A BOOK A MONTH
Finished two books in July: Delivering Happiness and Who Moved My Cheese?, which is about dealing with change. I feel like I’m finally getting back into reading again and setting a goal for myself (although I failed on my first attempts) have helped. As I write this, I’m halfway through another book, so I hope to keep this up. 10/10
FIND OTHER SOURCES OF INCOME
No progress here at all. 0/10
I’m back on track with planning my meals, so I’m wasting less food which is good. I also got a bike for my birthday, so I’m wasting less money on public transport now. 5/10
