This month I’m starting my spring capsule wardrobe. I switch a few things up between Autumn and Winter and again in Spring and Summer, but the more dramatic changes only happen twice a year. Although the majority of clothes stays the same during the year, I do enjoy a few fresh pieces!
When you’re working with a smaller wardrobe, sometimes it’s nice to switch things up a little. I’ve been looking at ways to update my wardrobe, here are a few clothing hacks I use:
CRISP & CLEAN SPRING OUTFITS
As I’m writing this it’s super cold, but nevertheless I’m slowly starting to think about my spring capsule wardrobe. And I have been researching spring outfits on the ol’ interwebz. I have a capsule wardrobe for a while now and I learned to do a lot of research before I get to the actual shopping process. If I don’t, I end up buying things that I don’t really need or that aren’t my perfect piece. And when you’re working with a capsule wardrobe, you want to make sure that you love every single piece!
This weekend I’m going on a weekend getaway in Europe. I’m excited, because it’s my first trip of the year and I will be visiting Prague for a couple of days. We’re going by plane and are only taking hand luggage, which means I have to carefully decide what I’m bringing with me. When it comes to travel clothes, I always try to look for items that I can wear various ways.
MY FAVORITE SPRING TRENDS
If you want to look trendy or incorporate trendy items in your wardrobe, it’s important to find out of they suit you and your wardrobe. Now I don’t think there’s anything that you shouldn’t wear – if you love something, go for it! I do however think it’s important to be aware of your figure and try to make something work for you. Clothes should compliment you, not the other way around. So let’s have a look at five of my personal favorite spring trends.
You know I’m a big fan of wide legged trousers, but when it comes down to incorporating new shapes into your wardrobe, sometimes you just need to visualize it. Especially with something as dramatic as styling wide legged trousers, you want to make sure you can build different silhouettes with a single pair.
Not everyone is a fan, but for me culottes are the chicest thing we’ve seen in years. I wear them in spring and summer, but never really thought about transitioning them into autumn/winter. That is… until I saw Mrs. Beckham rocking a pair with heeled boots.

Never in my life did I imagine I could pack only 10 kg to spend 12 days on holiday! But when I was going on a backpacking trip to Cuba, I had to seriously cut down on luggage and start working on my capsule travel wardrobe. Luckily there’s year round pleasant climate in Cuba, which made packing a whole lot easier.
It has been a bit quiet around here and if you’re following me on Instagram than you will know that I was away exploring Lisbon and the beautiful island of Madeira. Since travelling is a great way to get use to having a capsule wardrobe if you like the idea, but you’re not sure you can manage, I thought I would share my tips on how I compiled my travel capsule wardrobe.
It was such a lovely sunny day here, so I thought I would share another one of my outfits.
